Confidentiality, Privacy & Records

 For coaching and non-clinical services, we treat your information with respect and strive to maintain confidentiality consistent with professional ethics. Coaching notes, if kept, are typically brief and are not considered medical records.

Counseling / Psychotherapy: If you engage with a licensed clinician through Olive Branch, your clinical information will be documented and protected in accordance with HIPAA and applicable state and federal law. You will receive separate clinical forms such as a Notice of Privacy Practices and clinical Informed Consent.

Limits of Confidentiality: Whether coaching or counseling, your information may be disclosed without your written consent if reasonably necessary to:

• Comply with a law, court order, or valid subpoena;

• Prevent a reasonably foreseeable risk of serious harm to you or another person;

• Report suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation of a minor, elderly, or otherwise vulnerable person, when mandated;

• Address payment issues, collections, or essential practice operations (for example, secure record-keeping, technical support, or professional consultation under confidentiality).

Electronic Communication: Email, text, and video platforms involve some risk despite reasonable safeguards. By acknowledging  this Agreement, you consent to the use of these methods for coaching and/or counseling-related communication, understanding that absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Records & Access: You may request a summary of your records, or, where required by law, copies of clinical records. Certain exceptions may apply, particularly for clinical psychotherapy notes, which are given extra protection by law.
